Lucas-Perry Makes Official Visist to Chrisler

Laval Lucas-Perry attended the basketball teams practice on Friday and received a warm welcome from the players and coaching staff. The freshman transfer from Arizona has enrolled at the university for the winter semester. He is not eligible to play until January of next year but should gain experience while playing on the scout team. This is a huge transfer for Michigan as it should greatly improve their backcourt and bring steady play on both offense and defense, something we have been missing the past couple years with Jerret Smith. In other basketball news, with the recent departure of K'len Morris and with Jerret Smith dropping off the face of the earth, John Beilien has contacted RR about bringing in football players to fill the void. This would be an interesting scenario. Eric Lacy reports that Michigan is looking for some depth at the forward position. Be on the lookout for some news on this later on. Until then, Go Blue!
