Michigan loses second half lead, drops to (4-8)

Michigan blew an eight point lead in the second half against UCLA to drop their record to 4-8 on the season. This loss was tough, especially for how well the Wolverines played. Turnovers kept Michigan in the game as they won that battle with only 8 compared to 17 for UCLA. In the end, missed opportunities cost us the game. There were a lot of easy shots around the rim that we just couldn't put in the basket and going 6-31 (19%) from the three point line isn't going to cut it.

Manny Harris' youth showed in this game as he struggled against a tough defensive team. He went 3-12 from the field and finished with 11 points. DeShawn Sims had another solid game with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Udoh filled the stat sheet as usual with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Even though we lost the game coach Beilein has to be happy with the effort from his squad today. To play so well for 30 minutes against a top 1o team is quite an accomplishment for a Michigan team that is so inexperienced. Now they just have to learn to finish.
